A detailed history of the building and surrounding area is the first point of the investigation and clear objectives and criteria are established before any sampling or analysis is started.
Site Visit
- Visual Inspection of the property
- Moisture Readings
- Temperature, Pressure and Humidity readings
Fungus Qualitative Sampling
- Use of lift tape for assessing different kinds of moldSpore deposition to assess the number of spores in the room
- Topical Evidence Method (for wall contamination)
- Surface Material Sampling (if possible remove large piece of plaster or flooring)
Laboratory Analysis
- The laboratory will provide a full report with notes on the usual host and temperature range of the fungus or mould, secondary metabolites and whether there are any known health hazards.
- The laboratory will comment on whether the species identified is known to produce toxins.
Compilation of Report
A written report detailing our findings and recommendations to remediate the problem areas and prevent future occurrences of fungal growth
